We are starting a Reflections Page (so far, we only have two), but we would love more. Just a quick update on what you're up to now and any recollection you have.
As we enjoy the summer of 2025 and look ahead to the start of the 2025–2026 school year, we’re continuing to build on the momentum from our 100th anniversary celebrations in 2023. We're now focused on using new tools and technologies to make it easier and more engaging to connect with our alumni community.
This year, the Alumni Association proudly continued our tradition of awarding scholarships to outstanding BHS students as they head off to college. We’ll be sharing photos, including one of David Steil presenting the awards, along with a group shot of the recipients.
We also received a heartfelt update from a member of the Class of 1950. It inspired us to launch a new "Reflections" page on our website, where alumni can share stories about their lives—career paths, families, college experiences, current locations, and special memories from their BHS days. Mike Jarrett kicked things off with a short update in the 1970s section.
We’d love to hear from you, too! Please take five minutes to email your story to newsletters@bhsalumni.org. If you're just starting out in life, tell us about your goals and aspirations—we want to hear from everyone.
We’ll read and lightly edit the submissions before posting them online.
We’re a small but passionate group, and we’d love more helping hands. If you’re interested in learning how to update the website, we’ll gladly show you how—it’s easy if you’re comfortable with basic computer skills. Since everything’s online, you can help no matter where you’re located.
Our ongoing focus is rebuilding and refreshing our alumni contact list. Over the decades, records have been managed in many ways, and we’re now creating the most accurate and comprehensive database possible. We're reaching out to alumni of all generations—and we need your help. If you're in touch with fellow Panthers, please encourage them to update their contact information.
We’re proud of all we’ve done—and even more excited for what’s ahead. Let’s make this coming year one to remember.
Go Panthers!

We have confirmed the BHS Alumni Association Golf Tournament! It will be taking place on Thursday afternoon, October 9, 2025. It will be a shotgun start (that is, we will take over the entire course and each foursome will have their own starting hole). We will all finish up at the same time, and there will be an after golf banquet. Details to follow!
Dear BHS Alumni,
As President of the Alumni Association and a proud member of the Class of 1974, I’m thrilled to connect with all of you as we reflect on the incredible legacy of Burlingame High School while looking toward an even brighter future.
Exciting Plans for the Future
We have big plans ahead, and we want every decade of BHS alumni to be a part of them! While the 1970s are currently well represented in our association, we’d love to connect with more graduates from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and beyond. Your input and involvement will help us create opportunities and experiences that resonate with all generations of BHS graduates.
If you’re interested in getting involved or have ideas on how we can better engage alumni from your graduation era, I’d love to hear from you. Please shoot me a note at davidsteil@bhsalumni.org.
Supporting Scholarships and School Causes
A significant focus of our work is raising money for scholarships and other school-related initiatives that support current and future students. Whether you were a scholarship recipient yourself or simply believe in giving back to the school that shaped so many of us, your contribution—no matter the amount—makes a difference.
You can make a donation directly on our website, and we’re deeply grateful for your support at any level. Together, we can continue to invest in the success of Burlingame High School and its students.
Join Us at Future Events
I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at an alumni event in the future! Reconnecting with classmates, sharing memories, and celebrating BHS is always a highlight.
Thank you for being a part of this incredible alumni community. Let’s work together to ensure that every generation of BHS graduates feels connected to the school and to one another.
Go Panthers!
Warm regards,
David Steil

The new gym is scheduled to open in August, and it is amazing. Many alumni contributed to the capital campaign to outfit the facility, and it will be a fantastic resource for the school and our community. For those who live in the area, we’ll send an update about the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which we believe is scheduled for the week of August 13th.
There are several ceremonies in the works, and we will keep you updated on the best one to attend.
Our annual subscription amount is $25, and if you can, please make an additional contribution of any amount ($50 recommended). If you are a lifetime member, no subscription amount is necessary, but we would welcome support for our on-going scholarship programs.
Ways to pay:
1) Send a check: You can mail a check to the Burlingame High School Alumni Association, 1 Mangini Way, Burlingame, CA 94010. Please include the graduation year, and the name used in High School, if different.
2) Click here Donate and Join and you may contribute using a credit card.
